Wordful Wednesday: Where does the Time go?

Tonight I was bathing the boys and they were splishing and splashing and making a MESS. I, not feeling good, was just trying to get them in and out and I started getting so frustrated at the mess they were causing. I usually don't bathe them together because of this, but again I didn't feel well and thought maybe I could cut my time.
When I went to get them out I wrapped a towel around Joshua and thought of this picture:

Lord, forgive me for being frustrated, and please let me remember I will miss this time.

I hope that all of you are enjoying your children in the moments they are in now. Each stage is enjoyable and one day they will be grown. Many blessings to all of you!

It can be so trying when you are tired and not feeling well. I am guilty too often of the same. Like you said we have to remember that each stage is special. I try to remind myself too that I am blessed to have healthy children, healthy enough to have crazy fun and sometimes drive me up a wall!!

I feel that way sometimes too just please go to sleep or give me 5 minutes of peace and quiet, then I feel guilty when I tuck them in thinking there wont be too many more nights that they will want me to tuck them in.

I have caught myself in moments like that as well. The good thing is you realize it, say a little prayer, and then love on the little ones even more!!!

I can't imagine the children in this world who grow up in the midst of nothing but that, ya know?

Such a sweet picture. I know what you mean about sometimes not taking time to enjoy the moment.

But hey, we are only human! You don't know how many time I wanted to cringe when my daughter spilled flour on the counter. Of course she is old enough to clean up her own mess......but still!!

That picture is priceless. I think it must be the 2 1/2 thing for us both. Youngest just hit that mark, and I'm craving some of those sweet baby moments back.

But then I get to sleep through the night, and snap out of it real quick.

Go easy on yourself. I hope you're feeling better.

Sometimes I feel the same way. I only have one, but there are days I am so frustrated. And then I look back and see a photo of him when he was little and I'm grateful he's there. It makes everything seem so much better.

Great post.

I try to tell myself that every time my boy is acting crazy and I feel like duct taping him to the floor! We will miss the crazy, messy, not-going-according-to-plan moments! Thanks for the reminder. We all need it sometimes. :o)

I hate bath time.. I know it's sad to admit it but most of the time, I do it alone. I usually always get frustrated..I am trying to be better at it.

Love the picture though.
