Busy Times

Sometimes I wish that I could slow my life down a bit! I feel so busy and like we are so involved in so much, that I don't want to change, but sometimes it starts to get hard. We have so much going all the time that we sometimes miss things with family that I hate missing. We have to miss events that are important to extended family and I feel horrible. I know most of them understand, but remember I am that "people pleaser", and hate the thought of hurting feelings or disappointing others. I just wonder how many other people feel this way!

I feel this way a lot. I certainly hear your frustration. I tend to be an overachiever too and I have felt very burned out lately. Sometimes, you just have to trim things down to save your sanity and be ok with saying "no". I've had to learn that over the years. :)

I constantly feel this way. I want my extended family to how much they mean to me. They do understand and there is now way we can do it all. Lately I've been finding it helps me to enjoy those quiet moments of just being at home with my kids and doing nothing. They are few and far between!

OMG girl, I am SO feeling your pain right now. This month alone, we've had 2 birthdays, V-Day, I'm starting a new job on Monday, one last b-day party this Saturday (which I am NOT ready for yet!), AHHHHH - everything is happening too fast!!

Hang in there, here's to a SLLOOOWWW March. haha

I so understand where you are coming from. I think we all feel this way at times. As hard as we try or as much as we want to we just can't do it all.

And why is everything always on the same day or night? That always happens to us.

I had an advantage in that most of my married life was spent too far away to come to events so nobody ever got hurt feelings when I couldn't come. It was a surprise when I did.

It's hard not to feel stretched when everybody under the sun has something going on!

I understand where you are coming from. It seems like there just is not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything. If you need to make time for your extended family maybe you need to let something go so you have more time.
